One of the problems with the lack of safety using the Internet is the education of the average Internet computer user. However, a solution is at hand. My friend Rick over at What’s On My PC blog has found a “really nice online training tutorial site that has a section totally devoted to computer skills. It’s called, GCFLearnFree.org.” Rick’s got a great blog that you should check out, and he’s always finding really cool stuff…which is usually free.
I went on to GCFLearnFree.org to check it out and found that the Internet Safety training (under the Internet Basics button) is really well done. I encourage all my readers to go there and take the training. It summarizes much of what I’ve been writing about for years, and it’s understandable and well written. Go…take the courses, learn to protect yourself.
Thanks, Rick for another great find.
As always, I appreciate your comments on this subject…so please do. And be careful out there…it’s extremely dangerous these days.
