Security password entryAs a companion post to my recent article Passwords: Do You Re-use Yours? I thought the Lifehacker.com article How I’d Hack Your Weak Passwords should be passed on to you. It explains, step by step, how easy and how quickly a weak password can be guessed.

There is also a great illustration of how strengthening your password by using capitalization, special characters, and at least 8 characters can really lengthen the time it takes for a password to be guessed.

It also gives examples of how social engineering is used to guess passwords.
